mySATHI Foundation Unveils mySATHI, a Readiness Platform for Higher Education, Jobs & Entrepreneurship

New Delhi, January 23: mySATHI Foundation unveiled mySATHI, a national readiness platform aimed at supporting learners as they transition to higher education, employment, and entrepreneurship, marking a shift from marks-centric evaluation to a capability-based approach aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The platform was unveiled at a high-level event at the India International Centre, attended by policymakers, academic leaders, industry representatives, social sector organisations, and members of the diplomatic community.

Placing the initiative in a national context, R. Subrahmanyam, IAS (Retd.), Chairperson of the mySATHI Foundation and former Secretary, Ministry of Education, said that India’s development aspirations depend on the quality of its human capital. “The country is dreaming of a Viksit Bharat. This dream will become a reality only if we ensure that our human resources are adequately trained, creative, innovative and hardworking,” he said.

The platform was formally unveiled by dignitaries including M. Sribharat, Member of Parliament; Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities (AIU); Atul Tiwari, former Secretary to the Government of India; and Venu Rajamony, Indian Foreign Service (Retd.). Messages from R. A. Mashelkar, Padma Vibhushan and former Director General, CSIR, and Anil Sahasrabudhe, former Chairman, AICTE, and former Chairman, National Educational Technology Forum, reinforced the importance of readiness-based assessment for future-ready education systems.

Addressing the gathering, Satya Narayanan R, Founder of mySATHI Foundation and  CL Educate, said, “We believe readiness is not about getting ahead of others, but about being prepared for what comes next — in learning, in work, and in life.”

The academic and assessment framework of mySATHI was presented by Prof. Partha Pratim Chakrabarti, former Director, IIT Kharagpur, who described the platform as a diagnostic and developmental assessment designed to provide actionable insights to learners and institutions.

A certification ceremony recognised mySATHI’s empanelled early adopters across higher education and schools—institutions that have formally signed up to implement the platform. Empanelled institutions include IIT Madras (Zanzibar Campus), IIM Mumbai, GITAM, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Dhirubhai Ambani University, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies, Manav Rachna University, NIIT University, IFIM Institutions (Institute of Finance & International Management), Jagdish Sheth School of Management, Vijaybhoomi University, Chandigarh University, Alliance University, Shobhit University, World University of Design, and the GNIOT Group of Institutions. Empanelled schools include Jaiprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya (Uttar Pradesh), Vidya School, and Vidya and Child.

The event also featured panel discussions on higher education and workforce readiness, with participation from senior leaders across academia, industry, policy, skilling, entrepreneurship, and international diplomacy. Panelists included Narayanan Ramaswamy (National Leader – Education & Skill Development, KPMG India), Prof. Rishikesha Krishnan (former Director, IIM Bangalore), Prof. Uma Kanjilal (Vice Chancellor, IGNOU), Maheshwer Peri (Founder, Careers360), Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu (Vice Chancellor, Lovely Professional University), Bimal Rath (Managing Director, Think Talent Services), Hitesh Oberoi (CEO, Info Edge (India) Ltd.), Manish Kumar (former CEO, NSDC), Geetika Dayal (Director General, TiE Delhi-NCR), and Peter Maina Munyiri (High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to India).

Guiding mySATHI’s design is a Global Advisory Board of Experts (GABE) with representation across higher education, schools, and workforce readiness, spanning both India and global perspectives. The board includes experts from organisations such as ETS Global Research and NAFSA, and school leadership from marquee institutions including The Doon School, along with senior voices from leading universities and education systems in India and abroad—ensuring mySATHI is shaped by both academic rigour and real-world readiness needs.

mySATHI is positioned as a readiness companion rather than an elimination-based test, focusing on core capabilities such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. The platform is designed to support multiple institutional use cases—readiness for entrance/admissions, diagnostic and developmental (D&D) interventions for learning support, and placements/employability readiness—helping learners and institutions make informed decisions and track growth over time.
